Patrick Thomas - Tennis Program Director
Patrick Thomas is a cornerstone of the Calgary tennis community, currently serving on the board of Tennis Alberta and as Past President of the Calgary Tennis Club. A passionate advocate for the sport, Patrick co-founded the Calgary Tennis Society in 2009 and played a pivotal role in the development of the University of Calgary Dinos Tennis Team, where he served as Executive Director and Team Manager. Under his leadership, the team transitioned from club-level to varsity competition, and he was instrumental in establishing two dedicated scholarships for student-athletes.
Over the past four decades, Patrick has been an accomplished provincial-level player, earning numerous doubles and mixed doubles titles at both the club and provincial levels. In addition to his on-court achievements, he has mentored junior players and contributed to the game as a certified official, umpiring several national junior tournaments hosted in Calgary.
Beyond competition, Patrick has made significant contributions to the growth of tennis through tireless fundraising efforts, supporting both major tournaments and university programs. In recognition of his decades-long commitment to developing tennis in Alberta, he was honored with the Tennis Canada Distinguished Service Award in 2021.


Coach Denisse (Tennis)
Originally from Ecuador, Coach Denisse is a former WTA and world junior player. With certifications in both Tennis Canada (CP1) and cardio tennis, she brings over a decade of coaching experience. Her sessions are motivating, technical, and built around helping players grow on and off the court.



Coach Emily (Tennis)
Coach Emily trained at the elite Evert Tennis Academy and played NCAA Division 1 tennis. She is a Tennis Canada Certified Coach, 15+ years of competitive experience and a passion for youth development, she focuses on building confidence and love for the game through fun, skill-building lessons.
