Coach Travis

Coach Travis

The pickleball court is where Travis truly comes alive. His energy is contagious, his enthusiasm is genuine, and his passion for the game is evident from the very first rally. Whether he’s running drills, breaking down strategy, or jumping into live play, Travis brings an uplifting presence that makes every session both productive and fun.

He is deeply committed to helping players not just hit better shots, but understand the why behind them. From court positioning and shot selection to reading opponents and building point construction, Travis loves diving into the finer details that elevate a player’s overall game. His approach blends technical fundamentals with real-game strategy, giving players the confidence to compete with clarity and purpose.

Currently competing at a 4.0+ level, Travis is constantly looking for ways to sharpen his own skills. He studies the game, challenges himself in competitive play, and embraces continuous improvement — a mindset he actively encourages in the athletes he coaches. He believes growth happens when players are pushed just outside their comfort zone, and he creates an environment where that growth feels exciting rather than intimidating.

Above all, Travis thrives on seeing players have breakthrough moments — the clean third shot drop, the perfectly timed poach, the smart reset under pressure. For him, coaching isn’t just about teaching strokes; it’s about building smarter, more confident competitors who genuinely love being on the court.

He began coaching gymnastics, trampoline, and badminton in his youth, later earning NCCP Level 3 certification in squash and spending 10 years coaching at Mount Royal University (MRU).
