Tennis: Ways to Learn

Junior Programs

Our Junior Programs are designed to introduce skills for beginners and to advance skills for competitive tennis for players aged 5 – 18.

Junior programs are divided into following:

Red Ball (Ages 5–7)

Tailored for kids ages 5 to 7, our Red Ball program introduces young players to tennis in a fun and age-appropriate way. With smaller courts, slower balls, and junior-sized racquets, children can learn comfortably and confidently. This class focuses on building foundational skills such as groundstrokes, volleys, and serves, while encouraging teamwork and cooperative play. It's a supportive setting where kids can develop technique and coordination through games and activities designed to set them up for future success on the court.

Orange Ball (Ages 8–9)

Our Orange Ball program is tailored for children ages 8 to 9 and takes place on a court that's three-quarters the size of a standard one. Using age-appropriate equipment, this class expands on the skills introduced in the Red Ball stage. Young players enhance their ability to rally consistently while beginning to explore more advanced techniques, such as adding spin to their shots. It’s an ideal transition as they prepare for full-court tennis.

Green Ball (Ages 10–12)

Our Green Ball program supports players aged 10 to 12 as they advance their skills and prepare for higher levels of play. By using slightly softer, lower-compression balls (about 85–90% the bounce of regular tennis balls), athletes can practice on a full-sized court while gaining more control and consistency. Emphasis is placed on sharpening techniques and improving strategic understanding, setting the stage for future competitive success.

Yellow Ball (Ages 13+)

Tailored for players 13 and older, this program emphasizes high-level technique, tactical decision-making, and competitive mindset. Training sessions combine energetic drills with a fun, engaging atmosphere, helping players fine-tune their strokes, spin control, and shot execution. Through structured singles and doubles play, participants build match experience, boost their confidence, and strengthen their understanding of court positioning and sportsmanship—preparing them for both competitive tennis and personal growth.
